Precipitation

We have just learnt about clouds, mist and fog - all of which are made up of moisture in the air.  Sometimes though, the water droplets become too big and heavy to remain in the air.  When this happens they fall to the ground as precipitation.
There are a number of different types of precipitation including hail, dew, frost and fog.  The two main types, however, are rain and snow and these form the biggest inputs in the water cycle.
Let's travel through the next few pages to discover more about precipitation.  We will begin with rain.
